Outlook Express Setup
- Start Outlook Express.
- On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
- In Internet Accounts, click Add, then select Mail.
- In Internet connection wizard enter your display name. This is the name you would like people to see when they receive email from you, e.g. "John Doe" and click Next
- Enter your email address, e.g. email id@yourdomain.com and click Next.
- Now, be sure that POP3 is selected and enter the following information: Enter mail."your domain name".com for the incoming mail server. Enter mail."your domain name".com for the outgoing mail server. Click Next.
- In Internet Mail Login, enter the following information: Enter your full email address including your domain name. e.g. "email id@yourdomain.com" Enter the password. Make sure that the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is *NOT* checked. Click Next.
- Select the Servers tab at the top of the window that appears. Check the box that says "My server requires authentication", located at the bottom of the pane. setting button, next to the "My server requires authentication", and check the box that says "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server." Click OK. Click Apply at the bottom. Click OK at the bottom. Click close on the Internet Accounts window.
- In Outlook 2003, click on the "tools" menu and select "E-mail Accounts..." Select "Add a new e-mail account" and click "next."
- You will be prompted to specify the type of mail server you use. AI Business Solutions uses POP3 mail servers. Select POP3 and click "next." You will be prompted to provide your account information. Your "Incoming mail server (POP3) is mail."your domain name".com, and your "Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is the same as the incoming.
- In the Logon Information box your username is your full email address.
- You can access more account settings by clicking the "More Settings..." button. Under the "General" tab, you can specify the name that appears on the previous menu's listing, as well as your organization name, and your reply email address. Under the "Outgoing Server" tab, you can instruct Outlook 2003 to use authentication when sending email. AI Business Solutions requires that you enable SMTP authentication.
- After reviewing all of your settings, click "ok" to return to the email settings window. Click "next." Outlook 2003 will display a window indicating that you have completed the account setup process. Click "finish" to exit the new-account wizard.
